Forchlorfenuron is also called CPPU. CAS NO. is 68157-60-8.

Chlorophenylurea in plant growth regulator (CPPU in plant growth regulator)can promote cell division, organ formation and protein synthesis. It can also improve photosynthesis and prevent the abscission of fruits and flowers, thus promoting plant growth, early maturity, delaying the senescence of leaves in the later stage of crops and increasing yield.

 The main functions of CPPU are as follows:

1. Promote the growth of stem, leaf, root and fruit. If it is used in tobacco planting, it can make leaf hypertrophy and increase yield.

2. Promote fruiting. It can increase the output of tomato (tomato), eggplant, apple and other fruits and vegetables.

3. Speed up fruit thinning. Fruit thinning can increase fruit yield, improve quality and make fruit size uniform.

4. Accelerated defoliation. For cotton and soybeans, defoliation makes harvesting easier.

5. Increase sugar content in beet, sugarcane, etc.

When using CPPU, pay attention to the following points:

a. When used on weak branches of old, weak, diseased plants or unfruits, the fruit size will not swell significantly; in order to ensure the nutrient required for fruit swelling, suitable fruits and vegetables should be used, and the amount of fruit should not be too much.

b. CPPU in plant growth regulator is used for fruit setting, mainly for flowering and fruit processing. It should be used with caution on melons and watermelons, especially when the concentration is high, it is easy to produce side effects such as melon melting, bitter taste, and later cracking of melon.

c. The effect of mixing forchlorfenuron with gibberellin or auxin is better than single use, but it must be carried out under the guidance of professionals or under the premise of first experiment and demonstration. Do not use arbitrarily.

d. If the high concentration of CPPU plant growth regulator was used on grape, the soluble solid content could be reduced, the acidity would be increased, and the color and ripening of grape would be delayed.

 e. Re-spray in case of rain within 12h after treatment.
